I am Ole Ellekrog

A couple of years ago, I lived in Greenland.

In Greenland, I worked as the Communication Manager of Arctic Hub. I produced videos and explainers on research, and I wrote a lot of articles, trying to make science interesting to the general public.

I helped create Paasissavut, a live PhD-battle on Greenlandic TV, and I gave talks on science communication, including one on Personal stories in science communication at the Arctic Circle Assembly in Reykjavik.

Most importantly, I gained inside knowledge from elite polar scientists.

Since then, my job has been in journalism.

I was a journalist and editor-in-chief for the Swiss-based media outlet Polar Journal AG, where I wrote countless articles trying to make complex Polar science digestable for a wide audience.

I also prepared and executed my own science communication workshop aimed at young polar scientists, and I worked as a communication consultant (Work Package Lead) on a Horizon Front EU grant application.

I have extensive experience as a freelance journalist, publishing in The Guardian and WIRED.

And a few years back, I worked with Danish media company Zetland, planning and presenting 'live journalism'. With them, I arranged and staged a show at the Royal Theatre of Denmark.
